50 dies in yet another bombing attack in Gombe

50 people is said to have died in another notorious attack from the worst enemies of Nigeria "Boko haram " Nigerians night mare.

 According to reports the bombing took place in Gombe central market, where customers were making last-minute Ramadan shopping on Thursday evening.

This took place in the evening at about 5:20 pm. A man who witnessed the horrible attack was traumatised after which he saw 50 human beings dead on the floor, mothers, grand mother, father, even children lying lifeless on the floor

He said : they just wanted a have a last minute Ramadan shopping as he broke down in uncontrollable tear..

A member of the Nigeria Red Cross Society, who prefers not be seen said he counted about 48 dead bodies and that the corpses were deposited at the mortuary of the Specialist Hospital and Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe.

Gombe State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kudu Nma, confirmed the incident.

He said, “There was a bomb blast. The (bomber) was either on a suicide mission or (may be) the bombs were kept somewhere with the view to causing panic and apprehension to people.”

“People were busy shopping in preparation for the Sallah festival. The casualties are yet to be ascertained. As you can see, people are busy working, trying to save lives; for now we cannot tell you the number of casualties,” the police commissioner said.
